Witham Oaks Academy - Witham, Essex

Continuing DSD’s close relationship with Inspires MAT, we recently had the pleasure of working on the new logo and branding of Witham Oaks Academy in Witham. Previously know as Powers Hall Academy, the co-headteachers were keen to create an identity that was both sophisticated and child friendly, becoming something that teachers, parents, pupils and the overall community could take great pride in.

The new motif is formed from a finger print, promoting pupils developing their over personality and individuality, with the extended section and holding frame forming a tree to promote growth, strength and dependability.

In full colour application the trunk elements of the tree along with the holding device are a different colour, representing Witham Oaks integrating within the pupils development.

A strong and highly legible typeface is used for the main word mark whilst reflecting the style of the motif itself too, with the ‘Academy’ text matching the layout of the main Inspires MAT branding providing a subtle link to the trust.
