Quantum Multi Academy Trust - Essex

We were approached in mid 2025 to create the logo and branding for a new Multi Academy Trust, Quantum. The emphasis of the project would be the equality of participating academies, all starting on a level playing field and striving for collective progress.

The design needed to achieve a balance of a professional business as well as the story behind Quantum's vision and values. It had to promote elements coming together in a balanced way with internal hierarchy.

The trust name has been produced in a modern style with a hint of tradition with the inclusion of the serifs. The close nature of the characters promotes the togetherness of the trust. The inclusion of the MAT acronym elaborates on the offering without overpowering the 'Quantum' name.

The motif utilises the same 'Q' as the wordmark providing continuity when used on its own. The 'Q' is encompassed with an octagon, representing the founding 8 academies.
