Atlas Racing - Moulsham, Essex

Coming from a racing background myself, I was excited to help Atlas Racing with their new logo and branding for the 2025 STEM racing series.

The team is formed by six ambitious year 12 students from Moulsham High School here in Chelmsford, Emma, Mia, Zach, Emily, Caitlin and Tom; each having their key role in the projects success. The name Atlas relates to the God of strength and endurance. In Greek mythology, he is known as the Titan who carries the heavens upon his shoulders. With this in mind the team wanted to include a globe in the logo.

The circular motif includes the globe device with a distinct STEM race car silhouette pointing in a positive, upwards motion. The word mark accompanying it ties in with the use of an arc, both representing the curvature of the earth and forming the cross sections of the ‘A’s.

The colour scheme for Atlas has been chosen to reflect the earth, along with themes such as environmental sustainability awareness. The colour blue also evokes feelings of technology and responsibility, with green bringing emotions of growth and progress.
